HavaChon Puppies in Idaho

Now that we have explained that a HavaChon is a cross between a purebred Havanese and a purebred Bichon Frise, let us tell you about how to groom your new HavaChon puppy. Because the HavaChon is a hybrid, your puppy may have hair like a Bichon Frise, very soft and able to stand up away from the body. Or the hair may be more like that of the Havanese, a much silkier texture that flows down from the body. Either will be just stunning on your new companion. Both are low shedding, and hypoallergenic.

Here is a fun cut I found on You-Tube for the Bichon coat. Remember with the Bichon the head is cut to appear round.

Now, if your HavaChon from Idaho has the straight silky hair you may like a more long sleek hair look, or even a fancy top knot!

Even braiding the top  Knot over the ears is cute!

Speaking of ears, take a look at this next You Tube video performed by a Veterinarian on taking out the hair inside of the ears..

Keeping your HavaChon puppy looking it's best is not that hard and not that expensive if you want to do some of the maintenance yourself. It just takes a few good tools, and your patience. When you pick up your puppy we will provide you with a recommended list of supplies and tools to get you started.
